First Haircut

I didn't know that Annie would be over three before we got her in for her first haircut, but it was finally time.  Her hair was getting thin on the bottom and it wasn't even.  It was hard to think that her newborn hair would be gone, but they did keep it in an envelope for me.  She was so excited and the whole time she said "I am getting my hair cut" over and over.  The woman who cut her hair said it was a nice break from screaming children.  It turned out so cute, I love the way that the hair dresser styled it.  Here are some before, during, and after pictures.

Ellie is 10 months old

Ellie has changed so much in the last month.  She has started crawling and motoring all over the place.  She picks everything up off the floor and it quickly goes into her mouth, it's kind of a trick to keep things away.  She is finally growing some hair, it's coming in slow, but sure.  She has six teeth now and it seems like more are coming.  She stands up next to furniture and one time let go and stood for about 3 seconds.  I think she was as surprized as we were.  She also has started to really fight nursing.  It was a hard decision, but we switched to formula, except for the morning feeding.  I feel less stress, because I know she is drinking enough, and I don't have to fight her about it.  We love her, she brings so much joy to our family.

Sorry the video is sideways

Trip to California

Last year we decided to go to California in February, so we were anticipating this trip for a long time.  I had high hopes that it would be a great time, that the weather would cooperate and that Annie would not flip out because she would be tired!! Everything lived up to all our expectations.  We loved it.  We spent one day in Disneyland, one day in Los Angeles visiting the Los Angeles Temple and Hollywood, and the last day at the beach.  Each day was perfect and we created so many lasting memories.  I hope that we can do this again soon.

Annie on the airplane with Dan's parents.  She did great on the flight there and on the way back.

Ellie's first airplane ride.  She also did great.  She slept the whole way home!!!

A little bit nervous about the huge Mater and Lightening McQueen
Flik's Flyers.  Annie did so great on all the rides.  She was so excited all day long.

Annie by the Classic Mickey Flowers

I love this family!!!  (Ellie slept alot of the time in this stroller)

Annie by Sleeping Beauty's Castle

Ready to go into the Tiki Room

Annie watching the Tiki Show.  She was captivated.

Club 33 (a private club you can only get in to if you "know" somebody).  It's in New Orleans Square

Dan Annie and Ellie on Mark Twain's steamboat.

Love these chubby cheeks!

A little nervous about Jessie.  She had never seen Toy Story 2 so she was wondering who this girl with the big head was.

Annie watched tangled everyday for about a month and a half after I had Ellie.  She now calls her "Big Rapunzel".

Srelela (That's what Annie calls Cinderella)

Aurora

Snow White

Crazy Elmo character in Hollywood

The New Visitor's Center in Los Angeles

Everything was new.  It didn't feel anything like the old one.

The Christus statue was the only thing that was the same.

Love the Los Angeles Temple

I think these trees have grown a lot in the last five years

I have a picture in front of this Christus statue with tons of people from the mission, I thought it was time I got one with my family

Annie's first time in the ocean.  She got totally soaked.

For some reason, I can't put captions on that last half of the pictures.  But I guess they pretty much speak for themselves.

3/4 of a year old

Eleanor turns 9 months old today.  She is changing so much and doing so much, we stay pretty busy with her and her sister.  She still sleeps really well, unless she is teething, and if the last few nights are any indication, she is getting another tooth (#7).  She finally got her two front teeth this month.  She had the two outer top teeth first, so she had kindof a silly smile.  Her mouth looks full of teeth now.  Her new favorite activity is scooting.  She can get almost anywhere, it just takes some time.  She sits on her bum and pushes herself where she needs to go or she goes into a crawl rotates and than sits back up in a better position.  She is saying three "words" kindof, she says the sounds "mom, da, and ba".  You can tell she can't wait to get really mobile so that she can chase after her big sister, Annie.  She is such a precious soul and we love her so much.
She finally got a turn to play with Annie's new car.  She loved it.

We have a basket of toys that she loves to pull out one by one and play with everything.

This is Ellie's first time crawling forward, she still needs some practice

Can't quite keep that bow on all the time

Our sweet nine month old!!!
